Synopsis: After Thor and the Avengers, the God of Thunder fights alongside his brothers in arms to restore order in the nine worlds of Yagdrasil but the ancient race of dark elves led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe again in the dark thanks to the great power emanating from the Ether. Thor faces an enemy that even Odin and Asgard can cope and must embark on their most dangerous adventure while staff to prevent Malekith fulfill its plans. On this trip he will meet with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save the world and re-turn to his vengeful brother Loki, which remains in the dungeons of Asgard for life.
The first adventure of the God of Thunder became one of the weakest national mall map films in Phase 1 of Marvel Studios, perhaps with Iron Man 2. Not that it was bad, it was a proper film, well done and interpreted national mall map but rather bland, especially absent an intermediate part of the action and adventure that you can expect from a film about the Norse god marvelita sifted.
After The Avengers, Phase 2 seems to bring about more freely titles and interest. The only title to date, Iron Man 3 already showed a bit that way, in the convention, to more elaborate scripts and rendered to a more playful and entertaining. In the case of Thor, the presentations are already made and you have more freedom to explore the infinite world of superhero and therein lies much of the success of Thor: The dark world, in the character development of its space opera universe in emphasis adventurous appearance.
This sequel begins with a sequence very far Lord of the rings, similar to what was seen in the first installment. Great Asgardians and elven armies clash in a barren concourse led by Malekith and Bor, father of Odin. There is a huge and destructive weapon power, the Ether, which is taken away to the enemy before being used, and the king of the dark elves escapes and hibernates hoping to find it again. In a way floats in this beginning and partly along the true spirit tolkiano footage, on the other hand also no longer part of the classic hero's journey.
This leads to a more adult Thor, sober and conscientious protector of the nine worlds that just peacemaking work. What remains is a quiet man but nostalgic for his love Jane Foster, and Seduce
