But even as the store winds down over the next six months to that big eject button in the sky there s a hint of irony for Steven Bleeker as he and his wife Janice McDonald transition into a new phase of their career with a new business.

But as enthusiastic as Bleeker is there s a note of sadness in his voice as he talks about how the CD business changed, first buffeted by illegal downloads and then by the onslaught of iTunes and changing consumer music consumption habits . It s an inevitable process he says.
